Black Honey - Into the Nightmare (Single Review)

I cannot wait for this band to release their debut album...

They sound like a 90s rock band not dissimilar to Garbage but with the vocal drive of Wolf Alice and some of the atmosphere and tone of Kali Uchis. Of course, musically they are closer to the former and that bass groove, those drum rhythms, that beautiful piano and the epic guitar solo... It is a masterful modern rock piece.

The vocals are gorgeus and so powerful. What I love is that no single part of the song leads another it all seems to just fit together like a jigsaw, perfectly crafted and phenomenally driven by all the different components.

Overall I have to give this song a strong 9 out of 10, a definite recommendation! This will likely make my year-end list.
