Let's Eat Grandma - I'm All Ears (Album Review + Rating)

This band is the future.
The complex and dynamic sounds of this innovative and fresh synth pop/art pop album are breathtaking and spectacular at both their most encompassing and slightest moments.

From the starting introductory track 'Whitewater' there's the sense it's going to be a special and important album and as soon as 'Hot Pink' comes around its certain.

The lyrics and vocals are all fun and dynamically shifting between aggressive, soothing, contemplating, assertive and empowering. The many hooks and choruses all pull you into this masterful album and boosts the experience which is already very interesting, something enhanced so much by the lush instrumentals and fantastic production and music. The synths are as flexible as the vocals and the guitars used are excellent ways to lift songs as surprising as their inclusion is.

It seems very fitting that this band is touring with CHVRCHES, but I have to say that this album is far superior to Love Is Dead was and definitely worth all the listens I've given it before reviewing it.

There isn't a single song I don't like but I suppose the interludes aren't the most necessary although they don't detract from the listening experience of the full album.

Overall I'd rate this an 8.5 out of 10, but bear in mind that this has a high chance of being one of the best of the year.

Hot Pink, It's Not Just Me, Falling Into You, Snakes & Ladders, I Will Be Waiting, Ava, Donnie Darko
