With Music In Mind... (General Update)
On my blog I am running several series all based around music, and I also run playlists on Deezer that accompany the blog. I've recently created a profile on Reddit to help promote the blog and if you follow me on their I can give exclusive thoughts on music. I'll be running through all that I do on those platforms here and now...
On this blog:
Reviews
I post regular album, single and other music reviews on this blog as my most frequent form of content, covering a range of genres and artists from pop to rock to electronic and everything inbetween. This year I aim to expand my radius and as more albums drop I endeavour to bring you some of the best music recommendations and roasts that I can possibly give.
Monthly Music Recap
This is the series that started it all on my blog, the series that throughout 2018 I covered all my favourite albums released each month. This year, I'll continue this but with an altered format that will incorporate my favourite and least favourite albums and singles, and highlight any releases I think are notable or relevant.
Lists
The most time-consuming form of content on my blog and therefore my most inconsistent, I will occasionally list my top ten songs by an artist or rank their discography. In December of course the focus is Year-End countdowns, which you can check out here: https://withmusicinmindellipsis.blogspot.com/search/label/Year-End
My Best Hit Songs list is still to come, you can expect that in the next few weeks.
Discover
This is the most recent series to hit my blog where essentially every couple of months I'll go through a band or artist's entire discography and highlight what I like and dislike about them, and why you should be excited for them to release new music. I will favour newer artists and I'm very open to suggestions as to what artist I should discuss next. For my first instalment I delved into Declan McKenna's discography and went into depth into why he is such an important figure in music. Check that out here:

Rants
From time to time I'll deliver essay-like rants on a certain topic within or surrounding music. Occasionally this can be within a review as a lengthy evaluation of sorts, not dissimilar to my Discover series, but typically it'll be on a general, thought-provoking question or statement that I feel passionate about. I'm happy to receive questions and I'd love to continue the series into 2019 with suggestions from you. I have a few divisions of this series including Past Present + Future and also Chart Anomaly.
On Deezer:
Song of the Week
Every Monday add one more song to this playlist, eventually totally 52 by the end of the year.

Yearly Best
Throughout 2018 I kept track of every single song I enjoyed on this playlist to give a very long longlist of the contenders for my Top 50 Songs. This year I'll do the exact same thing so it can be easy to keep track of all that I've enjoyed, regardless of whether it's been covered on my blog.

Logan's Picks
"Now That's What I Call Music" is always frustrating with their compilation releases and so I offer a personal alternative each time they release one of their own. This is a bit of a random idea I came up with last year and I went back to make them for the last few years to coincide with the Now! releases as a sort of alternative.

Listen
This is a more personal series I share with particular friends in attempts to broaden their own music tastes with songs I enjoy and think they will or should listen to for the experience.
Other
I make so many other random playlists that to so feel free to check them out too. My profile is Loganjbest.
On Reddit:
Starting now on Reddit I'll promote certain posts on my blog and Deezer playlists, as well as having the ease of replying to any comments you might have. This could be the best place for you to request certain content and learn more about the music worth listening to.
